I have always enjoyed watching skater brands evolve. Sure they are not typical examples of high profile main stream brands and they are not going to appeal to everyone, but in a way that’s why they are so interesting. They not only produce great products that actually have a physical purpose, but like companies like Apple they create massive cult like followings.
Zoo York filmed this video on Wall St, NYC and obviously it wasn’t a big budget flick (I could be wrong) but their attempt to promote their brand was done in probably one of the most innovate ways, riding on the back of one of NYC’s most famous little creatures ….. the cockroach. Simple but really effective and highly entertaining. They have done a really good job of connecting their brand with their product, their origins and their target market. I guess the biggest cost in producing the video was the spray paint and some roaches.
